Getting better all the time

Haven't reported in awhile. To be quite honest, I keep forgetting my one of many passwords. Got it at least for now.

Very good 8 Fri. 3/20 w the girls and I must report, the rearview is only getting better. The key is to lag back on the uphill and you get a good sense of what kind of junk is about. Less and less.

In fact yesterday I somewhat inadvertantly came in contact w/ a butt will call anonymous, and I almost hurt my hand. Or maybe that was her lower back. Regardless, I'm impressed.

Off now to corroborate yesterday's 8 on my bike and work on my own butt. Free smacks for all Monday upon request. I'm easy.

This one made me cry. It's not all about butts you know!

Heavy Breathing on the Trail

Yesterdays run was really good. Lisa, Heather, Elizabeth and myself did the 4.5 Tyler-Playhouse run with the one mile uphill to start. Between about 44:30 and 45:30 w/ strong finishes by all.

Heather was especially impressive over the last mile as she exerted her new found running muscles and really picked it over the last mile. Without becoming too graphic, it reminded me of that scene in When Harry Met Sally where Meg Ryan proves that she can fake it. It was a steady 9 minute build from heavy breathing to moaning to outright screaming. I felt proud to just be a part of it and had the strange urge to light up a smoke when I got back to my car.

Happy trails.

Running ahead but thinking behind

So we did a good 4.5 yesterday in Tyler. The run from the playhouse parking lot. It was me Wendy, Joanne, Lisa, Heather and Elizabeth. Two packs and well done by all. Wendy and I ran ahead and the others in another pack. The second pack was about 5 minutes ahead of their last time for the same run. So times were good and an excellent sweat by all.

One unnamed runner was quoted, "I'm sweating my ass off." Can you guess who? And isn't that part of the goal? As time goes on and the clothes come off, everyone's looking better and better.

Spring is almost here.
